How to rubbish your credibility with ChatGPT

How to rubbish your credibility with ChatGPT

The other night I started reading an eBook I had purchased off Amazon. Three pages in and I knew I’d paid 4 bucks for a PDF of ChatGPT generated text.

How did I know? The repetition of keywords that were undoubtedly used in the prompts, the inconsistent headings and the sentence structure were the first indicators.

It reads like a robot. The same amount of words. Are used in each sentence. Over and over and over. Then, the lack of brand voice, sealed the ChatGPT deal. There is no personality, no real-life experience and no connection to the writer.

Now, as for the writer. I actually found her via socials first. I enjoyed her content on personal branding and socials so was happy to pay for what promised to be more of a good thing.

So now that I’ve purchased the book, she’s ticked off the passive income stream and high ranking on Amazon lists, where does that leave her personal brand?

Will I purchase from her again? No. Will I recommend her content? No.

So, is that four dollar sale worth destroying your credibility? No way!

These tools will change things, but it’s crucial we learn how to use these tools to the advantage of our brand, not the detriment!
